Somatic Facial + Jaw Treatment

with optional intra oral work + buccal massage

A slow + detailed therapeutic touch session that focuses on the facial region of body. Including the décolletage, neck, shoulders, ears, face, jaw, and scalp. While the touch is localized to facial region, this session takes your whole Soma - mind, body, emotion, spirit - into account, to create lasting change & thorough support.

Some of what a somatic facial + jaw treatment can support with:

  • softening of tmj, jaw tension, teeth grinding, stiff neck, knots & tension in muscles, chronic headaches, etc

  • easing of pain in jaw, neck, shoulders, head, and whole body because of the lines of fascia that run from face to feet

  • melt effects of chronic stress, support relaxation & unwinding, aid in nervous system regulation and parasympathetic state of rest

  • softening of wrinkles & facial features, radiant glowing skin

  • movement of stuck emotions & gentle release of trauma due to the somatic orientation of this session

This session involves intuitive therapeutic touch that includes a weaving of gentle massage, long holds, detailed fascial melting touch with little or no oil, guided breathwork, and somatic body awareness. No two sessions are the same, for they meet your body exactly where it is that day. Though these sessions can include touch on the décolletage, neck, shoulders, ears, face, jaw, and scalp; we may work on all of these spots in one session or just a couple of these places depending on what is needed.

Intra oral work + buccal massage:

Intra oral work & buccal massage is type of therapeutic touch that works inside of the mouth to target tension in the jaw that cannot be reached from outside - is an optional part of this experience for those who desire it. It is not required for a session nor to support jaw issues, but it is a powerful addition for those looking for this kind of work. (*please note medical gloves are always worn during inner mouth work)

New client sessions are available by request & are two hours in length. This includes 90 minutes of touch work with set time before + after to talk. Follow up sessions are available as 90 minute, 2 hour, or 2.5 hour sessions.

I run a gratuity free business, meaning tips are not expected & you get to know exactly what you are paying up front at the beginning of our time together :)

Hi there! My name is Elen. I am a devoted healing arts practitioner & holistic facialist. My passion is supporting people in softening chronic pain + tension, finding more ease + fluidity in their body, creating more regulation & relaxation in their nervous system, and connecting to themselves - mind, body, emotions, and spirit.

I believe all parts of us are interwoven & connected, nothing occurring in the body is isolated. It is a part of an intricate weaving of all of what we have experienced through our lives + are dealing with in this moment. I hold my Somatic Facial + Jaw Treatment in this way. In my spaces you are heard, tended to, met, and supported in a full spectrum manner. With this framework, I am a trauma informed practitioner and bring that awareness to every session.

Some people come to my door to ease pain, some come to feel more relaxed + beautiful, and some come to tend deep emotional pain + trauma - all of these experiences are welcome.
